I have come across 3 sheep carcasses during my hunt of Bandit. 2 of them appeared to have been slashed about the neck with a sharp instrument and the prime meat areas were all that was taken. Could it be that Bandit knows how to butcher animals and is far from starving to death? That will make it tougher to flush him out of a desert hideout.
