I have hiked to the city with my scout troop every year for the past 12. Water should be treated as on 2 occasions boys became ill drinking untreated water.We went up Frenchmans gultch and over the pass to hungry bills ranch in 1996 and on to the valley floor. Not for the faint of heart! We will be hiking from Hungry bills to panimint city 4/15/04. see you there maybe. Bill
