I'm not sure i understand your point lion lover that by loving your dog your somehow missing something in life i feel it makes you more human to take care of and be close to your pet. Maybe you have a problem with animals and people liking you?
I do agree though that dogs do not belong in some places and death valley, any desert is one of them. Their feces stay on top of the ground for a long long time before breaking down. the terrain is hard on their feet and they will chase animals unless their on a leash and i always laugh at these people who take their dog's out for exercise and fun and keep them choking down the trail on a chain. So probably agood idea to keep the dogs at home thanks
