Almost any indipendent chassis truck will do fine if it has good size off road tires. The problem I see is in the unibody constructed cars and trucks. The middle section of the underbody on the unibodies seem to hang alot lower than the trucks with a seperate chassis. Also trucks with a solid beam axle can negotiate trickier terrain than the IFS trucks. I ran a 4runner with IFS for years with no problem but the Land Rover I have now performs alittle better with the solid beam axle. As to definition of Hi clearance, I don't know but I would say at least 9 inches under the differential.
