Just got back from Panamint Valley - what a trip. Poor Land Cruiser clutch went out in the middle of the valley. I was amazed my Tacoma was able to pull it up the pass (Slate Range Crossing) and into Ridgecrest.

Tracker, I wanted to add the following:

With regard to South Park Rd. it is drivable with a HC clearance vehicle. I was on it last week. Careful navigation will get you around the washed out areas (Tracker refers to them as the major washout areas.)

I have to add the following to Trackers report, exiting Grapevine and entering Saline Valley, there is some areas of caution - but it is doable.

I will post pictures sometime tomorrow. Camera is in my Land Cruiser and wont be towed back until tomorrow.
