Those Peterbilt's and Freightliners are awesome machines, truly an American invention. Most countries WISH they had the roads & peaceful scenery to travel, and the comfort in those RVs exceeds most other countries' housing standards. Where else in the world can you go the 1,000s of miles like here in the USA in such comfort and security?

As for the US vs Jap vehicles - the Ford F-series truck is the world's largest selling vehicle in total units since the early or mid 80's. The GM crowd will say "if you added the Chev and GM together then GM would be the world's largest selling..." Hmmmmm. Look at the top 10 selling vehicles in the US - 4 or 5 are made by Ford. The world competition started after WWII, while we started in the 1880s. They were able to use the best available technology at the time, while the US tax system didn't provide incentives for research & development. Plus those other countries don't have the give-away social programs our manufacturers have to support, or at least not as many.

Buy American - the job you save may be your own!
