Great floods of '69 (far the biggest flood in DV), lake Manly resurects. Amargosa River was 120 feet wide and 3 feet deep with 750 cubic feet per second flow at peak. The speed of water flow was 1/2 feet per second.

Your figure of 10,000 cfs would make Amargosa (with speed of 1 foot/s -which is double of that of 69) 1000 feet wide and 10 feet deep.
