When this blown fuse thing happened on my truck I realized the Truck Air draws quite a few amps. So I just bought a 20-amp power point (cig lighter) port & wired it hot with a 20 amp fuse & heavy-gauge wire. No more blown fuses.

And yes I air down EVERY time I fourwheel and don't use tires with less than 50% tread off-pavement, and I just don't get flats anymore. Hard rock and washboard trails can loosen every mount and fastening on your 4WD without airing down, and I've seen lots of people get two simultaneous flats by not airing down & driving too fast on rough terrain.
