The easiest and best way to get to the spring is from Warm Spring Canyon. Get the quad map covering the area. I do not know if you can drive up the old road now—it might be closed because of the wilderness.

If you can not drive, walk up the old road. Before you get to the spring there are glyphs. The arrastre was and probably still is overgrown with the willows. It is immediately above the spring (south). Once at the spring, if you can not find the glyphs yourself, no amount of directions will help you.

The old trail from the spring to Rogers Pass is now hard to follow. Another ancient Indian trail heads south toward Redlands Canyon. Easy trail because it is about level. The former is the trail Manly And Rogers used on their trip out and the latter is the one the boys took the Bennett and Arcan famlies over. LeRoy
