Dave Wright gave a real brief discription of the event. A more full story is in the book 'Death Valley Scotty, The Fastest Con in the West' by Hank Johnson. It was a great trek trying to find it having only a non-scale hand drawn map along with a picture of the area. With that book you can find the location.
