Satellite photos are available from http://www.terraserver.com/. For aerial photos, select USGS under the Search dropdown menu on the site. As a shortcut, I put my bookmarked link to the USGS photo of Scotty's Castle below. You can also switch to a topographic map view of the same scene, pan, scroll, zoom out, etc.

You didn't ask, but an alternate site for topographic maps is http://www.topozone.com/.

I use these sites to virtually visit areas and examine backcountry roads mentioned by others on this message board. Zoom in on the topo to Panamint City, then select aerial photo and zoom in once more. You can make out the stack and its shadow. It makes me even more eager for my next trip to DV!
