The hottest I have been in was 125 degrees F at the river in Ehrenberg AZ / Blythe, CA. It is a dangerous heat, and it was too hot even in the shade. We were working on some equipment and the tools in the shade were too hot to handle. You also go through a lot of water in that kind of heat. I agree with earlier comments on a dry heat being more tolerable. That time at the river the humidity was comparitively high, so it made it that much more miserable. For the record, I am quite comfortable in temps between 90 and 110 degrees IF the humidity is low.
