Johnson canyon road report

Just returned from a mini run to Johnson Canyon by way of West Side Road.Took the OJ Simpson Bronco out for a shake down test run. The last quarter mile before the water pipe is very rough. Had to fill a few wash holes to get over. The frog pond is 3 feet deep and the berry thicket is no longer Passable with a full size rig. I winched in half way up the muddy road before it got too thick. Proud of the old beast and its performance, I was shocked to find a VW van( 1 wheel drive 1600 cc) parked at the home sight with a ford ranger truck. Most likely Panamint hikers as they never returned to the fireplace. Somebody did an excellent job cleaning the sight, not even a cigarette butt on the ground and the fireplace is spotless.(Russells erik?) Lots of Burro activity at the pipe and the water flow is fast at 30 GPM.
