Sorry Rockhopper but I'm not lying about my experience with Jeep Grand Cherokees. Of all the cars I've owned the most troublesome and unreliable have be VWs and a BMW. They've left me stranded and with expensive repair bills way too many times! Never trusted them to get me where I wanted to go. The Jeeps have never failed to do their job. In all the years I've been driving, I've found that people who have trouble with their cars are, as often as not, bad drivers who treat their cars roughly. Maybe they're foolish enough to believe the SUV adds that show vehicles leaping over rocks and trees. It has been said that Juan Manuel Fangio, the world champion Grand Prix driver drove so fast and so smoothly that his race cars rarely broke. When mechanics inspected his cars after a race the cars showed essentially no wear. Try to smooth out your driving - it works, even with Jeeps.
