The advice of those who have written before is very good. Be aware that Death Valley National Park comprises over 13,000 square kilometers. If it is a first visit, I would recommend day hikes rather than overnight trips, as this allows you to experience more areas than would be possible with an extended stay in one area. Contact the Park Service and get all the information you can. You will find Death Valley quite mild (even hot) compared to Denmark. And with very low humidity, don't forget the skin lotion and lots of water up to 4 litres a day on an overnight hike. While hiking you should carry what water you need.
