Just returned from Saline Valley. For what it WAS worth, the road was in great shape, both the Saline Valley Road itself, and the hot springs spur. No potholes or washouts, and fairly minimal washboarding. Drove in late Friday night, and out Sunday afternoon.

Unfortunately my Land Rover's idler pulley seized at the top of South Pass coming out, so I ended up having to get pulled to Hwy 190, then towed to Lone Pine, where the kind folks at Miller's put things back together for me this morning. While we were inching along Lee Flat, a Discovery (sibling to my Defender 90) whizzed by ... didn't even slow down to ask if we needed help.

That said, with today's storm, all bet's are off on road conditions. I assume the South Pass, and definitely North Pass, got snow.
