To all Chevy haters and to "friends don't drive chevys"-

If chevy engines were so bad, then why do serious rockcrawlers with a Jeep or Toyota V6 engine almost always swap it out for a bigger V8? The most commonly seen engine installed is a Chevy 350, which is often coupled with a 700R4 Chevy tranny. If you go to the Rubicon, you will see many people who call the modified Toyota FJ40's, "Chevotas", because of the aforementioned add-ons of choice. Would these "serious" rockcrawlers pick anything less than the best? No way. If you break down on the Rubicon, and leave your vehicle to seek help, it will be stripped of parts when you return.

Also, the GM 10 bolt differential is commonly addded onto other vehicles aftermarket in order to enhance rear end strength. Even better, many install the 12 or 14, for better strength.

Just because one person owned ONE chevy that had engine problems, that does not mean all chevys are bad. Since such problems in chevys are not only rare, but almost unheard of, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the mechanic's fault, or some outside problem. Also, a new GM engine has a 60,000 mile warranty, so the second engine should have been under warranty.

What kind of idiot would post what "friends don't let friends drive Chevys", wrote? They would get more respect and credibility if the used facts to back up their statements, as I have.
