Weather on my trip was excellent, except for wind.
On Friday it wasn't too bad, out of the southwest. Temperatures were mild on the valley floor (only got out of the truck to get some coffee at Stovepipe and gas at Furnace Creek), cool at elevation in the Furnace ghost town region (elevations 4,700-5100). Wind came up hard while setting up camp, again out of the southwest. Blew all night.
On Saturday, the wind shifted to from the north and temperatures stayed very cool. We explored the townsites of Furnace, Kunze (original Greenwater) and the hills above both. Set up camp at the Ramsey site of Greenwater.
Sunday, we photographed and explored around Ramsey, including the cemetery, then head down to Gold Valley and Willow Spring. The lower elevations there (2800-4200) made it a bit warmer, but the wind was still very cool.
I'll have the trip account up on my website within the next couple of weeks.
