Hunter Mountain road conditions?

Hi,

Has anyone been over the Hunter Mountain Road recently,
all the way from the Racetrack to the Saline Valley
road? I'm going in a small group a few days from
now; we all have stock SUV's (Explorer, 4runner,
Blazer, etc.) and want to know what to expect. I've
read the report on this site's "exploring" pages; the
most recent report was a March 2002 trip posted April 8.
Anybody have more recent experiences? Thanks.... gary
