thanks for all your replies and suggestions. Tacoma is 4x4 on 31" tires;
full size by off-roading standards, I guess, but not really a full
size truck (like Tundra, Silverado, etc.). It's liability is length
rather than width. It also has an overhanging rear end :-(
I guess we will go from Warm Springs to Eureka Dunes and back the
same way or via Saline Valley North Pass. Depends on how difficult
it will be.
