Thanks for the link, Harold. Regarding the Sequoia site - they send me updates every morning - but today they said they will no longer being doing this . I imagine since the fire is 85 % contained, they are down grading the importance now. This could be why you can't find the other pictures you are looking forward, but I don't really know. I was actually up in Cerro Gordo the day the McNally Fire started, and just had a bad feeling about the big billows of smoke we were seeing behind Olancha. I knew that I was supposed to be up in Monache and on the Sherman Pass Jeep trail this weekend, in fact I would be starting the Sherman Pass Jeep trail right about now. It has saddened me to see so large an area destroyed by fire because of one human. Looks like we won't be doing that trail for quite sometime, if ever. We had thought of taking our group somewhere to explore, in the Owen's Valley, but considering the smoke, and the extreme fire danger, we decided to stay home.
