great time to ride! I recommend that you bring your camping gear and pitch your tent at the Panamint resort.If you are a hotel type of guy the rooms are clean and simple and you will enjoy them. You can take easy rides to all of the best spots in the park. If you are on a dual sport Mayor Jerry at panamint will gladly show you some safe day rides or places to hike. Stovepipe wells has a nice store but the service in the hotel and restaurant were very poor in my previous stays. Furnace creek is worth a stop, however if you arrive just before the tour bus convoy plan on being in line for hours. Forget the little canteen that Europeans like to carry- carry a gallon (4 liters) extra between gas stops. use caution on the downhills as visitors from the orient often marvel at things and cross the double yellows. Travel safe and enjoy your ride- it is the best in california!
