Thom, Yepper on the EPA crap being dumped, added the power up kit (recommendation of Honda) Haven't tried the coolant swap as of yet. Bike seemed to have done alright this time but still seems to run warm but did not boil over this time.
I think Honda just doesn't want to admit they has a design flaw ! They say the bike wasn't design to sit at a traffic light and idle but I wasn't sitting at a traffic light that time in Goler ! Guess I'll just have to keep the bike moving when ever riding the thing and that means really keeping it moving at a good rate of speed. Or maybe try to find some kind of a small fan to mount in fount of the radiator or maybe install a small rapid cool. Other than that I'm very happy with the bike. Even with the gearing as high as it is after changing the fount sprocket it'll still bring the fount tire up in every gear. Don't know why Honda didn't put a six speed in the bikes because it scream for a sixth gear even with the smaller fount sprocket! If I end up riding the bike back east I'm going to have to go even smaller on the back sprocket. So you have a 500 BSA ? Hmm maybe we could hook up some time and give the road another wack? Love to get up that way and see the place before it washes away and then is closed down for good. :{
