Surprise Canyon Comments Due By August 30th!!

    For all those interested, the public comment period for the "Intent to prepare an amendment to the California Desert Conservation Area Plan and Environmental Impact Statement for Surprise Canyon in Panamint Mountains, Inyo County" closes August 30th. Please submit your comments to:

Bureau of Land Management
Hector Villalobos, Field Office Manager
Ridgecrest Field Office
300 South Richmond Road
Ridgecrest, CA 93555

Also, two public meetings remain: One on August 5 at the Sheraton Pasadena Hotel (303 East Cordova Street, Pasadena, CA 91101) and another on August 6 at the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley (901 Camino Del Rio South San Diego, CA. 92108).
