Are you speaking of the canyon in the funerals just north of Cow Creek? I don't have a map marked with Copper Canyon on it, but I know I have visited a site nar far north of Cow Creek where fossilized animal tracks are plainly visible in several sections of the canyon. I don't recall seeing any "Resource Management" (aka "Stay Out, Knucklehead!") signage in the area, though ... although it has been quite a few years since I have been up there.
