If you are heading north on highway 14 turn east at the BLM designated route EP 15 and follow the signs.
If you are heading west on Garlock Road, a few miles west of Garlock there is a 55 gallon barrel, which is painted white. This is route EP 100, turn right at the barrel and go up Mesquite canyon until you intersect EP 15. Turn left on EP 15 and follow the signs into Burro Schmidts.
Take water, tell people where you are going and when you will be back. Keep on the main roads and use common sense. That way we will not have to come out on a search and rescue mission.
Do not know who the present caretaker is. Toni has been gone for years.
