There is an FAA air corridor for private aircraft between the DVNP boundry and the China Lake NAWS range boundry. The corridor hugs the terminating foothills of the Southern Panamints, but an honest VFR "drift" to the south allows a flight down the middle of Long Valley. Other than a Navy ground target range that has several rocketed and bombed out surplus aircraft hulls and a few riddled vehicles, there is nothing in Long Valley but scattered fuselage fragments from downed target drones. Some remains of the monorail footings are still visable in a few places.
