Take your motorhome and Explorer to Death Valley and have fun. In two days there is no way you're going to see it all. But even from the paved roads you can enjoy it immensely.

February will likely bring nice weather, although storms do come up and February is one of the rainiest months for California in general. The morning after a storm is magical as the mountains are covered with new snow with bright sunshine.

Take the drive of your pleasure from the already named list of paved and bladed dirt roads.

In the late afternoon hours (in February anytime after 2:30 to sundown) simply take a leisurly drive and enjoy the magical color and shadow show upon the Amargosa Range (with its subdivisions of Grapevine, Funeral and Black Mountains). Take a drive out West Side Road for a ways and simply park and turn off the engine. Pack a few munchies, something to sip on and sit on the tailgate of your Explorer. Revel in the magnitude of distance, expanse and silence. Watch the sun change the colors of the mountains and finally the dusk decend upon the land; heralded by the call of the night critters. Then return to the comfort of your motorhome for the night.

Enjoy your trip without reservation. Even if you don't do anything special, you'll enjoy Death Valley itself.
