From my training, DVNP rules are not much different than Calif. State Law: Firearms in vehicles must be unloaded and ammo may not be in close proximity. Hey Armed, based on your logic, cops should be all happy and smiley faced when contacting an unknown armed citizen. Just like Xena... GET A GRIP! Police work is dangerous. I'll admit some cops are better at it than others. (Isn't that the way it is with everything.) Speaking as someone who was hassled by cops in his day, I have grown to realize that many times people bring it on themselves with outrageous behavior or belligerent attitudes. As I teach my kids: Keep your hands on the steering wheel, tell your passengers to be cool with their hands in sight, and say "Yes Sir" & "No Sir". Let the cop do his job. The sooner he moves on, the sooner the fun can begin again. MENDO PAUL
