Death Valley Plan

Received the National Park Service's Death Valley General Management Plan yesterday. Have only read a small part of the document but one section caught my eye: Water. The Death Valley Groundwater Flow System is discussed: origin of much of the Flow System, the importance of the Flow System to Death Valley and measures to defend the Flow System. Here is a quote from the plan, "Vigorously defend water traveling to the Park in the Death Valley aquifer from Nevada." Which brings up Las Vegas and Pahrump. A wildly growing Las Vegas is looking for water here, there and everywhere; everywhere includes Pahrump and Pahrump is using water from the aquafer supplied by the Spring Range and that water is part of the Death Valley Groundwater Flow system. This could become interesting.
