This is a shot in the dark, but here goes;

I am looking for the the Hikers who found the Headstone in Surprise Canyon and took it to Ballarat.

Story details:
Over a month ago we were out in Panamint Valley, stopped by to see Louie at Ballarat. He had a Headstone there that he said some hikers had found in Surprise Canyon and had brought it to him thinking it was from his cemetery, it was not, and he did not know what to do with it.

So I took it and placed it in a safe location in Panamint Valley for now. The headstone was white and very old and had only the fellow's name, no date.

This is a shot in the dark, but hopefully the hikers who found this headstone will see this message, or someone else who has seen this Headstone will know just where it belongs in Surprise Canyon.
I would like to take it back up Surprise Canyon to where it belongs.

I will not give out the name on the headstone, only the hikers who found it or someone else who has seen it would know that, this way I hope to get the actual location of where it belongs.

Please respond to my email:

Thanks, Lewis
