The nocturnal animal you are most likely to see is the kit fox. I have seen them many times at night. They are very cute and not particularly afraid of humans. But, remember, they are wild animals, not pets. Death Valley is an absolutely gorgeous place, but not everyone's cup of tea. It will be very hot in July so be prepared, with lots of water, appropriate clothing and sunscreen. Have fun!
