Lara I agree on the unnecessary road closures and the seeming desire of the Feds to "protect" the environment from any use, even that for which it was intended. Further to that though, what about some of us who are handicapped or have limbs missing and who are denied even being able to look at some (most) of the areas being closed off. The Gov's do not think they are subject to the Americans with Disabilities Act so all handicapped in the US are basically shut out of the enjoyment of our wild areas unless someone thinks of a way to show off a closed area to someone with no legs or how a man (or woman)with no arms can climb to an outlook. In some places this same person could drive to the high spot or the back country on an existing road if allowed. Someone needs to bring the ACLU into this to enforce ADA compliance on our wonderful leaders.
