You should get in touch with Emmett Harder. He is an old timer miner from the 50's till now. Probably knew your folks. He had/has a claim in Redlands canyon and keeps up the cabin there. If you haven't read his book you might be interested in it. Lots of first person tales and stories about his trekking about Death Valley and searching for gold.
He was on this weekend's trip with us up at Briggs cabin and he can spin a good yard. Knew the Manson family, had them working for him for a spell. Interesting fellow!
