You got me on this one. While I was at Yosemite I never heard of anything like this. I guess they could have changed the rules. Unless he chased you from outside the park and didn't catch up to you until you were in the park. They certainly didn't patrol the park when I was there. I was a delivery truck driver so I was on the road all the time and never saw CHP. The court that has jurisdiction in Yosemite is the US Magistrate Court in Yosemite Valley. What court was your ticket out of? Sounds like something you could have beat. Maybe he lied about the location of the infraction.
