The only difficult part is coming south from Striped Butte into Mengel Pass. But at that, I was with a convoy of four other vehicles ranging from a stock 4x4 Nissan Truck to a Subaru Outback and they all made it with no problems. In fact, it had just got drenched with rain and was slippery. Just take your time, and you should have no problems. Over all, Warm Springs and Goler Canyon is in excellent condition. The best I have seen it in – in 10 years.
