Thanks. I'll look for the book.

I'll be camping two nights. I am picking up and dropping off my 4x4 rental in Bishop.

I will probably camp near Eureka dunes the first night.

This was the path I was thinking of traveling over two days: (I don't know the road names)

After camping in Eureka; the next day I was going to take the road through Steel Pass, head down to the Saline Valley Dune Area, then head further South until I get to the road that heads North to the Race Track. I probably want to find another camp spot somewhere along this route (any suggestions?)

On the way back North:
I wanted to check out the racetrack and then head North past Teakettle Junction and head back to Bishop on the road that runs North after Ubehebe Crater.

I'm wondering if I should stop at the Hot Springs during this little adventure. I might also head a bit further south to Darwin Falls before heading back North if time permits (I really liked the Darwin Falls trail). I am not sure if I have enough time to get that far South).

I will change the plan if I get recommnedations on a better plan.

Thanks much.
danielle
