Hey, Cap'n. Here's a link to a really great section of deathvalley.com that reports on the road conditions of many of the backways in the park. http://www.deathvalley.com/exploring/messages/18.shtml. This link will take you directly to a road report for Saline Valley from September, 2001. Conditions for many other trails and roads are documented in this section of the web site.
