Somewhere (maybe in the Forestry Supply catalogue?) I ran across an attachment for a High-Lift jack to use with the modern bumpers. I know I was real disapointed when the L Front tire went flat up in the Sweetwaters, I whipped out the High-Lift (impressing the family) . . . and found it wouldn't work (due to bumper shape). The stock scissor jack works OK in the flatlands, on the parking lot, but out in the field . . . too hard to drink your beer while rolling around under the vehicle trying to find the sweet spot illustrated by an underpaid Japanese CAD worker . . . along with trying to find a flat-enough spot . . . .
