From Las Vegas's 160 Blue Diamond Hwy, you don't have to go all the way to Pahrump to get to Shoshone. A short cut is to take the Old Spanish Hwy. This will take you past Charleston View and Resting Springs. It's a very pretty road. China Ranch is a short side trip. Then head on through Tecopa where you can stop for a wonderful hot bath, to Shoshone.
