The shortest route from the Strip to Furnace Creek looks to
be about 120 miles. Figure at least 2.5 hours without stops.
But a more interesting route would be:
Rt 160 L.V. to Pahrump.
Rt 178 through Shoshone, over Jubilee Pass, to Ashford Junction.
Badwater Road up east side of DV to Furnace Creek.
Firgure at least an hour more driving, plus stops.
