Good point and thanks for the clarification on the jurisdiction of the South Pass road. Then both agencies have the same modus operandi as I can site examples for roads not maintained by Inyo. Bottom line is one is still on his or her own once past the signs and obviously the signs could be accurate or inaccurate. As for the felt tip pen, I would much rather drive on the Inyo side of the line so if you see someone swerving it might just be me.
