The hospital in Ridgecrest is a very good facility and has excellent emergency care. Unfortunately first hand experience after an offroading mishap high in the Panamints gave me this perspective. Thus the nickname. Check the map and determine which facility will be closer during your stay in DV. If driving yourself back to Ridgecrest from DV, hang a right at the main intersection in Ridgecrest (heading towards main China Lake entrance) and the hospital will be on your left. Hard to miss.
