International Space StationPosted by Harold Ericsson on July 30, 2001 at 11:16:14:
Anyone lucky enough to be at Panamint Springs tonight (Monday July 30, 2001)can see the International Space Station twice. Twice like at different times, not like twice after a few beers. The first and much the brightest of the two passes can be seen at around 9:14 PM in the south southwest at an altitude of about 10 degrees above the horizon, the SSI will climb to its highpoint of 45 degrees above the horizon at 9:17 in the souteast and then disappear at 9:19 PM in the east northeast. The second pass will start at 10:51 PM ten degrees above the horizon in the west northwest, it will only climb to an altitude of 15 degrees at 10:52 PM while still at west northwest.
