If you only have 2 days to drive to DV, and check out a few things and drive home, thats a long drive, and you won't get to see much. This sounds like your first trip to DV, I would say, stay at Furnace Creek Inn or Ranch and see things in that area. Go to the visitor center and get info for your next trip. The park is alot bigger than most first timers think, and you need to add driving time. There are a few whole days worth of stuff to check out within 1 hour drive of Furnace Creek, and add more days if you hike.
