"I'm planning to visit Death Valley during X-mas time. Is it a good time to camp then?"

Probably better than during the summer, but it really depends on the weather during
your visit. Snow at higher elevations is possible, and rain and/or wind is possible
at the lower elevations. The average highs in Dec/Jan are mid 60s F., and average
lows around 40 F., but it can get below freezing. Higher elevations will be colder.

"How long would it take to drive to Vegas from there?"

Mapquest indicates about 140 miles from Furnace Creek to Las Vegas and nearly 4 hours
driving time. There are no real high mountain passes going that direction.
