Hi DV fans, I am new to the group. I just hit upon the idea of spending 3 or 4 days this Christmas in DV. I will be travelling by myself. Though I love hiking, I have no experience in hiking in places like DV. My curiosity and love of nature encourage me to be more adventurous in this trip. Before that, I would like to hear your advice. How could I get most out of this trip without causing trouble to myself, including getting lost or trapped in desert. Is it easy to find a motel inside the valley, or where should I stay? I just come out of school and can't afford luxury suites. Is reservation necessary? All advice is welcome! Thank you all in advance!
