I've always found it to be much cheaper at Stovepipe Wells than Furnace Creek (though you still pay a premium). The indian casino at Bishop had some really good prices for a while - I think they were using it to build traffic.
If you are coming into DV from NV, I understand that the prices are a lot cheaper on the NV side.
I usually top off in Big Pine and enter DV from the north. I carry an extra 24 gallons with me, so I don't buy a lot of gas inside DV.
