Come thru Vegas take the road thru Pharump. Just before Shoshone the road makes a cut in the hill, where about 17 different geological events are taking place. Soak in the hot spring at Tecopa, go out behind the gas station, market in Shoneone and see where the miners cut homes out of the lake bottom volcanic ash. There is a cut in the hill where you can see the sediment layers. Drop down into DV and before you reach Ashford Mill, there is the (49er) Henry Wade Exit Route which goes out of DV via Saratoga Spring, explore the Avawatz Mountains (4X4)& bunches more to see on your way to "The City" Furnace Creek...enjoy
