Butte Valley - Mengel Pass? In few weeks.

Hi all:

I am hoping to be in Death Valley in a few weeks (late November) , and am contemplating dring from Ballarat via Wingate Rd -- Goler Wash Rd -- Mengel Pass -- Butte Valley rd? all the way over to ashford mill/hwy 178. I will have a high clearance Toyota 4WD, I will not have the luxury of another capable vehicle with me.
Anyone know the current road conditions thereabouts,
particularly in the area of Mengel Pass - and know
if the route is still do-able all the way through?
